New England Center for Contemporary Art is a non-profit organization, in which it's mission is dedicated to the advancement of the visual arts.

Mission Statement

New England Center for Contemporary Art's mission is to educate the public with respect to contemporary art and the artists to an area that is not adequately served in this respect. We stimulate, promote and develop interest in contemporary arts, including but not limited to painting, drawing, sculpture, graphics, art glass and other decorative arts. You can also order essay or additional consultation for your projects here, at the site.

We provide an art center where the public may have personal and firsthand exposure to exceptional examples of contemporary art, and to enrich the cultural life of Windham County and Connecticut, and the general public at large.

We offer artists a chance and place to exhibit their work, thereby experiencing this very important stage and part of their development and life as an artist to work towards this goal, coordinating their artwork for one type of presentation; it enables them the opportunity to consider his artwork in relation to the space in which it will be exhibited, and in relationship to the public who will view it. This heightened experience, with numerous decisions involved, is an education in itself for the artist involved.

The museum is located at the intersection of Routes 169 and 6 on the green in Brooklyn, Connecticut.

Hours: Saturdays and Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm (year round).
